Cleaning for a Reason is a non-profit organization that offers free housecleaning services to cancer patients. They believe in the power that a clean living environment can have on a patients physical, mental, and emotional well-being. 

Cleaning for a Reason partners with qualified, local residential companies across the United States and Canada. Their partners are dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by cancer and providing their services free of cost. 

Anyone currently undergoing active cancer treatment, including chemotherapy, radiation, surgery or hospice care. You must apply through Cleaning for a Reason directly. Your Happy House Cleaner cannot not process applications for services.

Yes! A family member, caregiver, nurse or doctor can apply on a patients behalf. Before applying be sure to have the patients consent and access to the basic information needed to fill out the form, such as name, email, address and proof of treatment. You can simply click the link below to start the process.

Upon being matched with a qualified residential cleaning service in their area, a patient will recieve two home cleaning sessions at their registered place of residence- thats one cleaning a month for two months. These home cleanings will help cancer patient focus on whats important and remove the burden of maintaining a clean home during a difficult time. Please note that services do not include "deep cleanings" or "spring cleanings."
